Meeting to Discuss Midvale Crash

posted in: Meetings, Transportation | 0

On April 27, a speeding motorist crashed on Midvale Boulevard, tragically killing one of our neighbors, Greg Nametz, and severely injuring his wife, Patty, who were walking their dog near the intersection with Waite Lane.

Many neighbors have found this incident deeply disturbing, and have wondered what will happen next, and what they can do to help.

ALL ARE INVITED TO ATTEND A MEETING TO DISCUSS THE CRASH AND ITS AFTERMATH

WHEN? WEDNESDAY, MAY 30, 7:00 to 9:00 P.M

WHERE? QUEEN OF PEACE GATHERING SPACE, 401 S. OWEN DR.

WHAT’S THE MEETING ABOUT?

Julie Foley, Dane County District Attorney Crime Response Manager, suggested holding a meeting to help concerned neighbors recognize triggers and trauma reactions they may be having, express their concerns and ask questions, and also learn how to explain inexplicable events such as this to children.

Trained clinical therapists will be available to talk to those who are struggling.

A representative from the Madison Police Department West District will be there to answer questions, and in case anyone has information to share about the accident.

The Nametz family is aware of this meeting, and has told Ms. Foley that they support its goals.
