Draft Transit Network Plan
Metro’s network redesigned has moved into Phase 3.
Staff, policy makers, and the public have evaluated Ridership PDF and Coverage PDF transit network alternatives.
After reviewing and further analyzing feedback on the Alternatives Report PDF , the Transportation Policy and Planning Board has directed staff to design a draft transit network plan that is “Ridership Mostly.”
As a result, Metro staff and Jarrett Walker and Associates will tweak the draft Ridership Network so that it serves a few additional destinations, but still maintains most of its frequency and directness.
A finished draft transit network plan will be released for public review in early 2022. Metro staff will then work with riders, community members, stakeholders, and policymakers to further refine the network before the official plan is adopted in 2022 and implemented in 2023.
