Please come to our Open House at the Crawford-Marlborough-Nakoma Neighborhood Gardens at the corner of Warwick Way and Whenona Drive. Everyone is welcome! Take in the show of flourishing fall blooms, and learn more about Bumblebees! Judy Cardin, who has an encyclopedic knowledge of Bumblebees, will give a short talk. She will tell us how important they are as pollinators, and what we can do to benefit them. We will have a Gardens Photo Display, some native plant seeds to give away, kids’ activities and refreshments. There will be how-to resources for creating pollinator habitat and rain gardens. There are new plants and shrubs to check out. Monarchs were still being seen in late September, and the Asters and Showy Goldenrod have been swarming with bumble bees.
