“I’m running for Madison Common Council, District 10 to secure the long-term health and safety of our community. Through collaboration and participatory budgeting, we can ensure all people have the resources to thrive.”

Meet Yannette

I grew up in Puerto Rico and have lived in Madison for almost 30 years. My passion for service has inspired my active participation in our community as a volunteer and healthcare data professional.

In our district, I have served as Treasurer and President of the Dunn’s Marsh Neighborhood Association. I have spent years serving people experiencing homelessness through the Beacon and Friends of the State Street Families as Outreach Specialist and more recently as a board member. After hurricane Maria, I worked to establish the Puerto Rico Relief Fund of South Central WI, successfully raising over $90K in the Madison area to support grassroots relief organizations in the island.

Professionally, I have over two decades in the healthcare & medical devices manufacturing field as system administrator, data analyst, business process mapping analyst, integration lead and financial reporting.

My experience working with families in strife offers me perspective on the critical issues we face together. I’m proud to have the support of those who know I will work side by side with them towards achieving healthy and safe communities in a way that serves everyone equally.
